What is the UV index today?
The UV index shows how strong the sun's UV radiation is. See today's highest UV index for Danish towns above. At 3 or above, sun protection is recommended.
When should I use sunscreen?
From UV index 3 (moderate) you should protect your skin with sunscreen, a hat and shade around midday. At 6+ (high) and 8+ (very high) protection matters – even when it's overcast.
Where do the UV figures come from?
The UV index is computed by Open-Meteo from sun elevation, cloud cover and ozone. We show today's expected maximum, usually reached around midday.
